Situation turned chaotic when the angry crowd started breaking stage decoration items and musical instruments as eP failed to show up in their concert at Open Air theater in Islamabad. Entity Paradigm a.k.a eP was supposed to perform in Islamabad on 28th of June.
The audience was ready, the mood was high and the atmosphere was perfect for a perfect comeback in the capital city BUT eP didn’t showed up, not even for the sound check before the concert. The audience, which was asked to reach Open Air Theater at 7:00 pm sharp, were told around midnight that eP is late and will be performing very soon. While rock bands ‘Qayaas’ and ‘Kharaj’ were performing on the stage, eP and organizers were having some disputes behind the scene. Both the parties failed to settle down the issues and eP decided not to perform which made the crowd angry and they started breaking things.
In the post event comments Fawad Afzal, eP’s lead vocalist, appologized the fans via facebook. He said:
Managment didn’t let us perform and were screwed up. We were ready, but they caused issues.
He appologised the fans and promised for a true (stress on true) concert very soon. Fawad suggested the audience to get their tickets refunded from the organizers, he said:
I suggest all of you go and get your refund please. I am really sorry.
Pertinent to know that each ticket costed Rs. 799. The funds generated from the concert were supposed to be donated to the IDPs of Swat.
Ever since their return to the music scene, residents of the Capital city were desperately waiting for eP to perform in Islamabad. The situation at the concert is certainly not going to help eP as people are still mad at them. The band must perform in Islamabad and they need to make it asap.
