And finally the ‘naya‘ time is over
, clocks have been reverted back to the origional Pakistan Standard Time. Believed to save energy by using greater part of the sun light, all the clocks in Pakistan were advanced by an hour in the start of this summer.
October 31, 2009 turned out to be the biggest day in Pakistan (a day of 25 hours
) as the clocks struck 11pm twice and with this the end of the Day Light saving time or the naya time. Earlier Pakiology learnt that the government was thinking to revert the clocks on 1st October, 2009 but the cabinet then decided to go on with the day-light saving time for another month.
One thing that is good about it is that there wont be any naya time and purana time talks anymore.
